CHAPTER 1
What am I? In my flesh I am but equal to the beasts of the field.
In my heart and mind … I am corrupt Humanity.
In my soul …
I know not what I am or may be,
and therein lies my hope.
CHAPTER 2
How is it that we so often find great virtue, remarkable charity ,
and patience amongst persons who are yet not conscious
of any direct contact with God?
CHAPTER 3
Divine Love awakens in us in a very small way,
as a very feeble flicker,
for we are very feeble and small creatures.
But God … accepting the will as good as the deed,
the day eventually comes
when we are filled with true love,
as a gift.
CHAPTER 4
We see on every side and in ourselves also
Men and women who try to fill an emptiness,
a wanting … that they feel within themselves,
And by every sort of means except the only one
which can ever be a permanent satisfaction.
Women devote themselves to lovers, husbands, children, fashion, society, and pets;
Men devoted to business, ambition, gambling, partying, drink, games, and arts.
Are any of these persons truly happy,
truly satisfied in all their being?
No !
CHAPTER 5
If all men and women attained this state,
this world would automatically become Paradise.
In this true abundant life ,
living and feeling
and altering their characteristics
to surpass anything that can be imagined
by the uninitiated , sleeping mind.
CHAPTER 6
What were our Lord’s words?
He said, “Do this in remembrance of Me,” or more correctly translated,
“Do or offer this as a memorial of Me before God.”
This implies an act of giving upon our part,
whereas we have come to regard this ceremony as an act of receiving.
